The Damzel

Time: June 26th at 6 p.m.

A singer-songwriter duo based out of Toronto, The Damzel joins the voices of Jennah Bissesseur and Shyla Margaret Machanda into one. Right from the first song on their new self-titled EP, The Damzel's smooth and smoky vocals are complemented by the mid-tone drive of a lone acoustic guitar. The poignant imagery and strong storytelling captivate the listener and their deftly placed harmonies lift each song, constantly evoking the tension of sadness and hope through the album.

Time: July 24th at 6 p.m.

Earlybird is an emerging singer-songwriter from Toronto with a zest for life. Combining classical training and soulful influences with her own groove, playfulness, and heart-to-heart narrative songwriting, her voice has been described as a "pastel bell" and her music "on the kite drinking champagne having chill times with friends." She likes people, and she makes music, so she loves her neighbour with song and shares her music at every opportunity, from kindergarten classrooms to the streetcar to summer festivals. She has dreams to share her music with people all over the world, but for now is humbly working hard at her craft as she frolics, ukulele in hand, shamelessly singing of love and life and bringing people the feels wherever she goes.

Anda Zeng

Time: August 28th at 6 p.m.

Anda Zeng's art is word, song, and the symbolic cutting of her long, dark hair. She likes to keep her words vivid, her songs dreamy, her hair long, and her bios short. Her online presence is under construction here and here.

Time: September 25th at 6 p.m.

Winnie Wong is an aspiring singer-songwriter with Soul, Alternative RnB and Jazz influences. She has won, participated, and performed at several vocal competitions, events, and has performed alongside Lydia Paek, a South-Korean singer. She is currently working on original music. You can find her on Youtube at ThatGirlWinnieW.

We look forward to sharing the music of these astounding local artists with you!
